Alvarium is a licensed Financial Advice Provider.

Alvarium provide asset consulting services to families, foundations, charitable trusts and iwi to help them manage the risks and complexities involved in professional investing. We provide comprehensive, customised and objective investment advice for some of New Zealand’s largest organisations.
Alvarium offers an individually managed account service for wholesale investors that are navigating the variety of migrant investor visas including the Active Investor Plus Visa.
We will structure a portfolio for you that complies with New Zealand immigration rules. Reporting will be provided as required, with complete tax reports provided annually.
The Alvarium Active Investor Plus Managed Account is a Managed Fund which is on the NZTE Acceptable Managed Fund list.

Alvarium Private Credit Fund
This PIE fund provides access to a portfolio of direct loans and other fixed interest securities, offering higher returns than public asset class equivalents, in exchange for lower liquidity. This is achieved by accessing a range of investments initiated and managed by Alvarium primarily in senior lending to a wide range of property projects.
By diversifying through the Alvarium portfolio investors can access alternative assets at a stable attractive return. Due to the nature of the risks inherent in this asset class the Fund is available to wholesale investors only.
Pathfinder Funds
Pathfinder is our ethical investing brand, offering a range of Managed Funds and our multi-award-winning KiwiSaver Plan. Combining Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics with a robust Ethical Investing Policy Pathfinder balances the reasonable desire for you to grow your wealth with a collective responsibility to minimise harm and create positive outcomes for a better future.
We play a vital role in helping private companies realise their growth potential. Our objective is to uncover and unlock value by identifying great companies with the potential of enhancing their performance.
Private equity or debt investments are funded through an allocation in our Pathfinder KiwiSaver Funds and/or through our high-net-worth private client network.
We also have an ownership stake in venture capital fund Nuance Connected Capital. Nuance invest in advanced engineering, science, IP, blockchain and deep AI. They focus on solutions that will improve the planet and help New Zealand companies succeed offshore.
Real Estate
Our property portfolio is overseen by Andrew Williams who has decades of experience and expertise in this sector in both local and international markets. The property team deep-dive into multiple markets of interest. Regular analysis, fiscal and macro reporting combined with the access to capital gives us the ability to make things happen.
For national real estate opportunities, Alvarium’s development management company, Strategic Property, provides due diligence and project management expertise Their experience, industry connections, in-depth property knowledge and collaborative approach underpins a shared vision we have to improve the landscape.
We believe that holding real assets is the key to long-term capital growth. The Alvarium Direct Real Estate platform has deployed around $800 million of capital into New Zealand and select international markets (often with Alvarium shareholders and employees co-investing alongside our clients).
Alvarium follows a thematic investment strategy, identifying best-in-class partners to execute the chosen strategies and opportunities. We oversee deal origination, due diligence, documentation, structuring and exit through close relationships with our chosen partners, as well as board and investment committee representation when appropriate.

The Alvarium Real Estate Opportunities Fund
This fund was set up in 2021 to deploy capital of the partners and clients. This fund, that is more diversified than a Direct Investment, has circa $50M of capital. This fund is only for wholesale investors and is currently closed to new investors.
